It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Archie Bald Spence of Deridder, Louisiana, born in Walters, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 11, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Taylor Young Spence and Rosa Belle Stockstill Spence; his wife Betty Brewer Spence; his siblings, Rex Spence, Ray Spence, Ted Spence, Jack Spence and Gladys Rispone; and his sisters-in-law, Lucille Spence and Clara Spence.

He is survived by : his daughter Carol Strickland (Ricky); his sisters, Betty Jo Anderson of Rosepine, LA and Billie Jo Middaugh (John); his grandsons, Cody Strickland of Rosepine, LA and Dylan Strickland (Mackenzie) of Rosepine, LA; his great grandchildren, Harlee, Rayleigh, Whitley and Sadler; his brother Paul Massey; and also Bill Smith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Diamond Baptist Church (151 Diamond Church Rd, DeRidder, LA 70634). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
