She is survived by: her husband Herman Cates of Deridder, LA; her children, Mike Cates, Shannan of DeRidder, LA, Mindy Gonsoulin, Brian of Aledo, TX, Marty Cates and Janice of DeRidder, LA; her grandchildren, Ryan Gonsoulin, Bradie, Bo Cates, Jacey, Luc Cates, Bethany, Brody Gonsoulin, Brianna and Hannah Cates; and her great grandchildren, Rylie, Charlie and Lucy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Beech Spring Cemetery.
