He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldridge A., Sr. and Mabel Meilleur Monette; his spouse Janith Dannel Monette; and his brothers, Arthur J. and Eldridge A. Monette, Jr. (late Norma D. Monette).
He is survived by: his children, Brent P. Monette, Jr. and Dr. Kelly Monette Gindoff (Scott); his grandchildren, Alexis and Bryce Gindoff; his siblings, Kenneth (Yvette), Simone M. (Louis Charbonnet, III) and Jerry (Carolyn); and his siblings-in-law, Elenor Poplion (late Tharren Poplion, Sr.) and Gerald Dannel (Tammy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the St. Peter Claver Catholic Church (1923 St Philip St, New Orleans, LA 70116). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery (34888 Grantham College Dr, Slidell, LA 70460).
