He was predeceased by: his son George William Parden; his parents, William Parden and Annie Bailey Parden; and his siblings, Thomas Parden, William Parden, Vaughn Parden, Jocielyn Arendall and Leila Parden.
He is survived by: his wife Shelba Parden; his siblings, Gilly Durell and Weldon Parden (Carolyn); his children, Rhonda Simon (Glen Simon), Karen Johnson (Kirk Johnson) and Dempsey Parden Jr. (Leigh Anne Parden); and his grandchildren, Jessica Jimenez, Amy Milke, Nadia Pardue, Lucas Simon, Wesley Simon, Samuel Johnson, Shaun Johnson, Nicholas Casanova, Dempsey Truett Parden and Nathan Parden. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Louisiana Baptist Childrens Home & Family Ministries in Dempsey's memory.
