He was predeceased by: his wives, Betty Crow Wentzel and Gayle Pelt Wentzel; his parents, Andrew Wentzel and Lucille Wentzel; and his siblings, Juanita Green, Irene Benline, Wanda Sleppy, Robert Wentzel and Adam "Atz" Wentzel.
He is survived by: his children, Homer "Rick" Wentzel, Jr. (Amy), Brenda Canales (Michael), David Wentzel (Barbara), Diana Kampfer (Mark), Charles "Chuck" Wentzel (Traci), Sherry Wentzel (Ron Lanassa), Carl Hanchey and Allison Hanchey. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
