He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Rush and Laura Mantooth Rush; his former wife Bertha Walker Rush Spears; his daughter Judy Rush Hilton; and his siblings, J. B. Rush, William Rush, Loyld Rush, Violet Ridenour, Mary Goodson, Dora Haen and Grace Looney.
He is survived by: his sons, James Rush Jr. of Buna, TX., John Rush of Leesville, LA., Jay (Lugina Rush), Jeff (Bertha Rush) and Josh (Melissa Rush); his sister Joy Rush Prewitt (Jerry) of Stroud, OK.; and his sister-in-law Marie Rush of Hutchinson, KS.. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews.
