He is survived by: his daughters, Elaine Garner Reeves of DeRidder and Mendi Wiersma (Jeff); his siblings, Charles Owen Garner of Houma, Louisiana, Reda Faye DeMary of Lake Charles, Peggy Ann Garner Dronet of Jackson and Helen Kay Garner Ritter of Kinder, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Ramond D'Lane Garner, Justin Joseph Garner, Arieona Avery'l Garner, Diamond Joe'lee Garner, Leros Wade Garner and Athena Rhea Wiersma; and his close friend Darryl Franklin.

Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Turning Point Apostolic Church (1918 N Pine St, DeRidder, LA 70634). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sugartown Cemetery (1784 LA-113, Sugartown, LA 70662).
