He was predeceased by : his wife Levia Dufrene Meyer; his parents, Fredrick J. Meyer and Solange Bourgeois Meyer; and his siblings, Pauline Comardelle, Alfred Meyer, Sr. and Carl Meyer, Sr..

He is survived by : his children, Alvin Meyer, Jr. (Christine), Terry Meyer (Margaret) and Susan Hobby (Rob). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
