She was predeceased by : her parents, Chefter Rome and Myrtle Fonseca Rome; and her siblings, Norman Rome, Herbert "Bucky" Rome and Beatrice Reulet.

She is survived by : her husband Roland "Ronnie" Dowouis; her children, Darren Dowouis (Rhonda), Stewart Dowouis (Kate) and Kimberly Gemperli (Manuel); her grandchildren, Alyssa Dowouis (Luke), Jordan Dowouis (Taylor), Thurman Dowouis and Lynott Gemperli; and her siblings, Clifford Rome and Mavis Jones.
