He was predeceased by : his wife Mary Helen Folse Dempster; his son Royce Dempster; his parents, Felicien Dempster and Clara Dempster; and his siblings, Mitchel, Melien, Dennis, John Dempster, Else Cortez, Thelma Tregle and Doris Trahan.

He is survived by : his children, Darryl J. Dempster (Linda), Kurt J. Dempster (Lydia) and Holly D. Dwyer (Andrew); his daughter-in-law Roslyn Dempster; his grandchildren, Jade, Aimee, Derek, Amanda and Anthony; his great grandchildren, Ava, Connor, Wes, Noah and Tate; and his siblings, Nolan Dempster, Landry Dempster, Ethel Sposito and Dolores Chiasson.
