We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2023, at the age of 85, Carmen Joseph Cortez (Destrehan, Louisiana), born in Westwego, Louisiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Azema Cortez, and Lucien Cortez, Sr.; and his wife Judy Falghou Cortez. He is survived by : his sons, Erin (Shelly) and Colin (Genesis); his grandsons, Tyler, Bryce, Brennan and Brayden; his great grandchild Lilliana Cortez; his sisters, Catherine, Alice, Marylin and Velma; and his goddaughter Peggy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
