It is with sadness that the passing of Frances Amedee Gendron (Destrehan, Louisiana) is shared. Frances, born on January 30, 1937 in Edgard, Louisiana, passed away on September 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her spouses, Clifford Paul and Gendron, Jr.; her son David Michael Gendron; and her parents, Bert P. Amedee and Stella Simon Amedee.
She is survived by: her children, Clifford Paul Gendron, III (Kathy), Mary Gendron Herschede (Walt) and Angela Elizabeth Gendron; her grandchildren, Clifford Paul Gendron IV, Lacey Ann Gendron, Michael Anthony Rollo, Jr. (Candy), Heather Gendron Wilson, David Charles Rollo (Alexis), Haley Marie Gendron, Vincent Joseph Rollo, II and Sarah Renee Herschede; her great grandchildren, Jackson Parker Rainey, Caroline Grace Wilson, Mia Marie Rollo, Julian Robert Wilson, Vic Anthony Rollo, Joel Andrew Wilson, Chloe Elizabeth Wilson, Cami Marie Rollo and Libi Marie Rollo; and her siblings, Judy Amedee Lissard (Benny), Jackie Amedee Roussel (late Eric), Bert P. "Sonny Boy" Amedee Jr. (Linda), Albert "Chick" Amedee (Brenda), Jeff Amedee (Dors), Jerilyn "Poulette" Amedee Raziano (late Bob) and Steve Amedee (Jamie). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (13396 River Rd, Destrehan, LA 70047). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Jude in her name would be appreciated.
