He was predeceased by: his parents, Ment DeLange and Gertrude DeLange (Schmidt); his wife Sharon DeLange; his brothers, Joel and Matthew DeLange; and his son-in-law Rick Schafer.

He is survived by: his daughters, Heidi DeLange of Destrehan and Pam Carlisle (Jamie) of Erie, Kansas; his grandchildren, Jeff DeLange of Destrehan, Louisiana., Alexis Mitchell (Joe), Lauren Haviland (Tanner), Paige Haviland (Dylan), Cori DeLange (Renee), Camryn Johnston (Chase) and Roger Johnston (Kaylin); and his stepgrandchildren, Recaya Knickerbocker, Cara Rister (Ben) and Jeremy Carlisle (Sadie). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
