He was predeceased by: his parents, Amo James Boyett and Annie Cunningham Boyett; his wife Julie Gilcrease Boyett; and his siblings, Alton Boyett, James Boyett, Lynwood Boyett and Gayle Gunter.
He is survived by: his children, Donald Ray Boyett, Jr., Judy Boyett Cosby (Chuck), Christy Boyett Griffin (Danny) and Suzette Hoffpauir (Mickey); his grandchildren, Sam Cosby (Brooke), Logan Griffin, Ben Cosby, Nolan Griffin (Cheyenne), Cassie Cosby and Rose McCartney; and his great grandchildren, Noah Lee Simons (Geronimo) and Kinsley Grace Griffin (Angel). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cypress Creek Baptist Church (2365 LA-505, Dodson, LA 71422). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
