Ava will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Ava by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Ava is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Ava’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Angela Coleman of Gonzales; her mother Georgiana Barrett; and her siblings, Leona Garnett and Jimmy Guss. She is survived by: her daughter Natasha Daigle of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; her sister Barbara Dorsey of Luling, Louisiana; and her nieces, Kathy Henry of Donaldsonville and Shirley Joseph of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Williams & Southall Funeral Home (101 LA-945 Loop, Donaldsonville, LA 70346). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
