With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eli Miles Jr. of Donaldsonville, Louisiana, who passed away on July 16, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elaine Miles, and Eli Miles, Sr.; his siblings, Jerome Miles, Ernestine Oliver and Ida Mae Winchester; his nephew Malcolm Oliver; and his siblings-in-law, Dicie Mae Jupiter, Melvin, Rufas, Jr., Harold, Sr. and George Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Butler Miles; his children, Orlando Miles, Miquel Miles (Tarleshia), Jason Miles (Adrian), Jarrad Miles, Paula Dumas Tyler (Leonard), Kee Kee Julien-Judson (Emmanuel) and Mary Ann Johnson (Avis); his siblings, Steve Miles (Susan), Eric Miles (Angela) and Dianne Nicholas; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara and Beulah Butler. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greater Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church (926 St Patrick St, Donaldsonville, LA 70346).
