He was predeceased by: his parents, Theophile Himel and Josephine Himel; and his siblings, Judith "Nettie" Sparks, Beatrice Walker, Marie Palermo, Rita Mae Goetz, Jeanne Darcie, Cynthia Goetz, Joyce Diez, AJ Himel, O'Neil Himel and Linwood Himel.

He is survived by: his siblings, Catherine Ward, Connie Thibodaux, Leroy Himel and Leo Himel (Brenda). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
