It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Alan Hummel of Downsville, Louisiana, born in Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alexander Hummel, Jr. and Marie Louise Dours Hummel; his siblings, Beverly Hooper, Nancy Odaware, John Hummel III (Jack) and Donald Hummel; and his nephews, John Hummel IV (Johnny) and Eric Hummel.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Alleman Hummel; his children, Wesley Alan Hummel and Jill Hummel Staugaard (Andrew); his grandchildren, Christian, Axel Staugaard, Aaron Lenard, Kaitlyn and Alan Hummel; his stepdaughter Sheron Lenard (Charlie Lenard); and his brothers, Wayne Hummel (Lottie), Kurt Hummel (Kim) and Dr. Glenn Hummel (Lisa). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Paschal's Catholic Church Cemetery (1500 Arkansas Rd, West Monroe, LA 71291).
