She was predeceased by: her former husband Donald Ray Bates of Delhi; her husband Billy "Sonny" Antley of Point; her parents, Earl Dodd Sr. and Berdie Patrick Dodd of Union Parish; and her sister Virginia Dodd Whitlock.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Bates (Martha) of Carefree and Donna Bates Uptergrove of Boerne, Texas; her grandchildren, Kathryn Harris (Melvin) of Houston, Kaley Doherty (Neil) of Boerne and Donald Bates of Scottsdale, Arizona; and her great grandchildren, Casey, Carson Harris, Alyssa, Levi and Luke Doherty. She is also survived by her family, friends.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Providence Baptist Church (2396 LA-552, Downsville, LA 71234). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 3:40 PM at the Acree Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Providence Baptist Church Acree Cemetery Fund, a cause close to Ivie's heart.
