He was predeceased by: his father Bethard Edward Bailey, Jr.; his stepfather Aaron Schwartz; his brother Donald Simpson; and his stepsister Michelle Schwartz. He is survived by: his wife Janet Sue Bailey of Dry Creek; his children, Stephen Bailey (Katelyn) of Oakdale, James Bailey (Andrea) of Benton and Megan Bailey of Lake Charles; his mother Ivy Schwartz of Lake Charles; his brother Bethard "Eddie" Bailey, III (Sherry) of Virginia; his stepsister Melissa Schwartz of Louisiana; and his grandchildren, Gavyn Hazelett, Jayden Hazelett and Riley Hazelett.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dry Creek Baptist Church (7800 State Rte 394, Dry Creek, LA 70637). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
