He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah, Sr. Dunmiles and Iceola Dominic Dunmiles; his siblings, J. C. Ranson, Elijah "Bill" Dunmiles Jr., Henry Allen Dunmiles, Henry Louis Dunmiles, Elton Tea Dunmiles, Alvernes Dunmiles, Leola "MayMay" Mitchell (Felton), Garrett "Buck" Lee Dunmiles and Allen Nixon Sr.; and his in-laws, Horace, Alma Lumar, Morris Lumar, Welmond Lumar, Helmond Lumar (Margaret) and Herman Lumar.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Tremaine and Shawana Wilson-Bethancourt (Kelvin); his wife Brenetta Lumar Dunmiles; his children, George Dunmiles, Jr. (Stephanie), Dorian Dunmiles (Michelle), Terrance Dunmiles, Sr. (Nikeisha), Rendell Dunmiles, Sr. (RaShonna) and Shawanne Wilson-Bethancourt (Calvin); his grandchildren, Lauren, Brittany (Jonah), Joshua, Kourtney, Raven, Ria, Darius, Rylee, Terrance Jr., Chase, Ryder, Rendell Jr. and Janaja Palao; his great grandchildren, Josiah, Jeremiah, Jacob, Jordyn, Jaxon, Bryson and Sarah Haywood; his siblings, Larry Dunmiles (Gail), Annie Nixon and Joyce Dunmiles; his in-laws, Mildred Samuel, Anderson Lumar, Harold Lumar, Darrel Lumar (Maxine), Paula Bonvillian-Dunmiles, Mary Dunmiles and Delores Ranson; and his godchildren, Geneva Dunmiles Miles, Allen Nixon Jr. and Qu'Shawn Jackson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, his church family, and devoted friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, May 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New St. Peter Baptist Church (200 W 3rd St, Edgard, LA 70049). A burial will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery (14989 River Rd, Hahnville, LA 70057).
