She is survived by : her husband Joseph "Fox" Hilaire; her children, Joseph Hilaire (Gail), Lee Hilaire (Sheila), Gardenia Hilaire, Tracy Hilaire, Sr. (Lynette), Randy Hilaire, Sr. (Carol), Reginald Hilaire (Vashita), Demetris Young (Curtis) and Rolander Bradley (Dwayne); her sister Edna Lumar; and her sisters-in-law, Philomena Lumar, Evelyn Barre and Juanita Green. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a special friend.

“Sending sincere prayers and condolence to the family of helen hilaire. For god has called another soldier home. It seems that we have been knowing helen for a life time. What a sweet person was this special women. She was a pillar in the school system with our children and was loved everywhere she went. She will certainly be missed by the community she loved so dearly and everyone that knew her. Again, prayers and condolences to the family.”
