We are sad to announce that on April 4, 2024, at the age of 67, Larry J. Edwards of Edgard, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana passed away. He is survived by : his sons, Lorenzo Joseph Edwards and Alonzo Anthony Edwards (Renata); his wife Alice P. Edwards; his grandchildren, Trayvonne, DaJah, Zyrion, Dyri and Cashaan; his siblings, Mitchell Edwards Jr. (Melinda), Ray Edwards Sr. (Dora), Rita E. Jarrow (Bernard), Henry Edwards (Carolyn) and Darrell Edwards (Josephine); his stepmother Rosalind Davis Edwards; his in-laws, Sandria Pierce Lewis, Theresa Pierce Borne, Flora Pierce, Eula Knight Pierce, Joyce Young Pierce and Goldie White Edwards; his godchildren, Shanella Lewis and Brandon Pierce; his grandchildren, JaQuisha Oates, Jaleel, Janira and Leland Washington; his parents-in-law, Elijah Pierce and Rosanna Victor Pierce; and his siblings-in-law, Warren, Emile, Willie, Walter Pierce, Louis Davis Sr., Gerald Lewis, Lloyd Borne Sr., Julia Pierce and Majorie Pierce Davis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 10th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 8:00 AM. A rosary was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (2349 LA-18, Edgard, LA 70049). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
