He was predeceased by : his parents, James Sr. Lumar and Marjorie Johnson Lumar. He is survived by : his children, Quinncena Smith (Kevin) of Laplace, LA, Jerome Julian (Latoya) of Killeen, TX, Jarita Moore (Derrace) of Algiers, LA and Jarvis Lumar of Edgard, LA; his siblings, Mary Ann Walker (Nathaniel) and James Lumar, Jr. (Linda); his brother-in-law Isaac Jackson, Sr. (Darnell); and his wife Cecile Julian Lumar. He is also survived by children; 1 sister; 1 brother; 10 grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, Godchildren, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 8:00 AM at the Life Funeral Services (315 E Airline Hwy, Gramercy, LA 70052). A rosary was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
