He was predeceased by: his wife Leta Lingefelt; his parents, Lester William Lingefelt and Evelyn Naxine Corley Lingefelt; and his brother Raymond Lingefelt. He is survived by: his sisters, Janice Lingefelt (Necie) and Kathy Middleton; his sister-in-law Donna Lingefelt; his sons, Shane May (Brandi), Chad Kitchens, Nickie Evans and Festus Harrison; his niece Angela Silvie; his close friend Ruth Lingefelt; and his grandchildren, Austin Gage Kitchens, Taylor Paige Kitchens, Prentice Layne May, Katelyn Renee May, Marcus Silvie, Bethany Moses, Livia Hogg, Brittany Harrison and Joshua Harrison. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Herringville Baptist Church (944 Hwy 577 Monticello, LA). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
