She was predeceased by: her husband Eldest Hernandez; her children, Derwin, Kelly Hernandez and Marcella Hernandez Broussard; her great grandchild Jayla Amerie Broussard; her parents, Evelia Lemaire and Etta Trahan Lemaire; and her siblings, Irene Hebert, Virginia Frederick, Eunice Guidry, Will, Maxie, Lee and Raymond Lemaire.

She is survived by: her sons, Philip Hernandez of Abbeville, Jason Hernandez (Danielle) of Abbeville and Jerome Hernandez (Vickie) of Erath; her grandchildren, Jonathan (Mary Hernandez), Alex (Matt Hernandez), Tyler (Katie Hernandez), Brittany (Hatch Trahan), Jeri (Matt May), Samantha (Jeremy Deville), Chasity Broussard and Mindy Broussard; her children-in-law, Tony Broussard, Effie Hernandez and Norma Hernandez; and her sisters, Leanna Bourque, Faye Trahan and Lou LeBlanc. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
