He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard P. Wilson and Nelle O'Mara Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Gates Wilson; his children, Dr. James Michael Wilson (Pinky) of Houston, Richard G. Wilson (Kimberly) of Houston and Kathleen Wilson Paul (Duane) of Jena, Louisiana; his stepchildren, Brooke Talley Taylor (Jonathan) of West Monroe, Louisiana and Ben Talley of West Monroe, Louisiana; and his siblings, Donald R. Wilson (Clare) and Jean Wilson. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (219 Crowell Rd, Eros, LA 71238). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
