He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Matt and Lillian Richard Matt; his daughter Ima Lee Riviere Matt; his wife Mildred Marie Leger Matt; and his sons, Charles Anthony Riviere and Thomas Lee Irvin.
He is survived by: his children, Berlin Ray Matt (Susan) of Eunice, Jo Ann Bishop (Russell) of Valley, AL, Tanya Waddell (Forrest) of Ville Platte, Helen Thomas (Randy) of Carencro and Jody White (Wes) of Melville. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
