With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Danielle Marie Fontenot of Eunice, Louisiana, born in Mamou, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 18, 2025 at the age of 39. She was predeceased by: her mother Donna Ortego; her grandmother Mary Ortego; and her niece Mya Devillier. She is survived by: her father Mark Fontenot (Eva) of Eunice; her siblings, Miles Fontenot (Amber) of Sulphur and Rachelle Guillory (Brady) of Eunice; her stepsiblings, Craig Devillier (Meesha Castille) of Breaux Bridge, Chris Devillier (Lundi) of Parks and Rena Romero (Danielle Hanisee) of Milton; her grandparents, Edward, Beverly Fontenot of Eunice and Joe Ortego of Eunice; her siblings' children, Seth Guillory, Gracie Guillory, Briggs Fontenot, Hazel Fontenot, Tayden Devillier, Maddox Devillier, Brinxlee Devillier, Landon Devillier, Jovi Devillier, Liam Devillier, Madelyn Romero and Cohen Romero; and also Danielle.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Ardoin's Funeral Home (1301 W Laurel Ave, Eunice, LA 70535). A rosary was held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Edward Catholic Church (1463 Charlene Hwy, Church Point, LA 70525). A burial was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery (3979 U. S. Hwy 190, Eunice, LA 70535).
