He was predeceased by : his parents, Curley Fontenot and Eva Fusilier Fontenot. He is survived by : his wife Glenda Launey Fontenot; his children, Brandy Fontenot, Taylor Connor (Alison) and Danny Fontenot; his siblings, Allen Fontenot, Sandra Wood, Tracey Fontenot, Norma Soileau and Renessa Fontenot; his grandchildren, Gary, Alexus, Brittany and Abigail; and his great grandchildren, Brae'lon, Gage, Enz'lee, Lillian and Cass'lynn.

A graveside service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Mt. Calvary Columbarium (1400 Laurel St, Eunice, LA 70535).
