It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leo Joseph Thevis of Eunice, Louisiana, who passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thevis and Agnes Reiners Thevis; his brother Frank Thevis; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Hornsby, Nora Thevis and Veronica Thevis.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette "Jan" Daigle Thevis; his children, Chad Thevis (Jamie), Darla Price (Robbie) and Gina Thevis Green (Rip); his siblings, Clara Savoy (Mike), Paul Thevis, Rose Hornsby, Andrew Thevis (Connie) and Loretta Kibodeaux (Harlan); his grandchildren, DJ Green, Kallyn Clark, Madison Price, Zoe Viator, Wyatt Price and Ian Price; and his great grandchild Tyson Green.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Quirk & Son Funeral Home - Eunice (121 S 6th St, Eunice, LA 70535). A rosary will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Leo IV Catholic Church (7166 Roberts Cove Rd, Rayne, LA 70578). A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the St. Leo Cemetery (7166 Roberts Cove Rd, Rayne, LA 70578).
