He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmalou Fontenot and Evelyn Fuselier Fontenot; and his sister Barbara Boenig. He is survived by: his wife Linda Saucier Fontenot; his children, Paul Fontenot, Tina Willis (Chad) and Kacey Veillon (Jeremie); his siblings, David Fontenot (Diane), Lou Sonnier and Dorothy Soileau; and his brother-in-law Vernon Boenig. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 1:00 AM and at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Et Quirk & Son Funeral Home - Eunice (121 S 6th St, Eunice, LA 70535). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
