She was predeceased by : her parents, Eldon Nelson and Renola Moss Nelson; and her siblings, Richard Nelson, Eric Nelson and Katherine Nelson Veillon.

She is survived by : her close friend Joey Johnson of Eunice; and her siblings, Paul Nelson (Candy) of Lafayette, Julie Romero of Basile, Pam Young (Oleus) of Toledo Bend, Jean Fontenot (Benny) of Eunice and Theresa Williams of Splendora, TX. She is also survived by extended family and friends.
