He is survived by : his children, Cas J. Fontenot (Stephanie), Cornel P. Fontenot (Jenny), Anastasia R. Gallien (Clayton), Darleen J. Ezernack (Jerome), Craig M. Fontenot (Tina), Corey J. Fontenot (Heather), Rachel A. Fontenot and Virginia J. Fontenot; his sister Jane Fontenot Thibodeaux of Eunice, LA.; and his wife Gloria A. Fontenot. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

“Wishing we could be there with the family today & tomorrow.. We have been praying for you all and will continue to be praying…( as he said he would be praying for us each time we talked to him ). So glad we will get to see him ( our Uncle Ray ) again in Heaven since he loved The Lord Jesus .. ( 1 Thess 4:13-18 ) Then no more tears… We sent a memorial to Wounded Warrior Project in his honor !
