We announce the death of Sidney Joseph Babineaux Jr. (Eunice, Louisiana), who passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 82. Sidney will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley LeJeune Babineaux; his parents, Sidney, Sr. Babineaux and Annie Sonnier Babineaux; and his siblings, Jeffery Babineaux, Mary Lou Broussard, Ella Mae Hale, Loreta Godeaux, Elda Marie Richard and Amy Sonnier.
He is survived by: his children, Tracy Babineaux, Tammy Johnson (Mickey) and Katie Savoy (Brandon); his grandchildren, Lainie Howard (Jason), Lauryn Bolgiano (Blake), Nicole Babineaux Daire, Nicholas Babineaux, Ali Babineaux, Ellie Babineaux, Ryleigh Thibodeaux, Landon Thibodeaux, Sarah Thibodeaux and Sydni Savoy; and his great grandchildren, Parker Daire, Jaxson Daire, Bennett Daire, Carson Babineaux, Nylah Rose Babineaux, Conrad Howard, Edie Howard and William Howard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Quirk & Son Funeral Home (121 S 6th St, Eunice, LA 70535). A rosary was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
