With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vernon Lee Chaffin of Eunice, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucian Chaffin and Lillie Goodman Chaffin; his brother Wayne Chaffin; and his brother-in-law Vernon Fontenot, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda Brignac Chaffin; his children, Daniel Chaffin, Cynthia Ann Mouton (Brian) and Ashley Renee Soileau (Garrick); his siblings, Roy Chaffin (Sue), George Chaffin, Sr., Barbara Fuselier (Tommy), Linda Fontenot and Bettie Stanley; his sisters-in-law, Rita Chaffin and Rita Naquin (Jeffery); and his grandchildren, Bailie Soileau, Kaitlin Mouton, Kylie Soileau, Connor Mouton, Wesley Soileau, Hailey Mouton, Andrew Soileau, Grayson Soileau and Natalie Soileau.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Et Quirk & Son Funeral Home - Eunice (121 S 6th St, Eunice, LA 70535). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Et St. Thomas More Catholic Church (1011 Sittig St, Eunice, LA 70535). A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery (1020 Friendship Loop, Ville Platte, LA 70576).
