He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Cortez Anderson, Sr. and Jeffie Cruse Anderson; and his brother Henry Cortez Anderson, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Kay Howard Anderson; his sons, Dwight Todd Anderson of Los Gatos, California and Dr. Michael Bret Anderson (Gretchan); his grandchildren, Kendall of Auburn, Alabama, Cooper of Auburn, Alabama, Greta of Auburn, Alabama and Maggie of Auburn, Alabama; his children, Jon Mark Anderson (JoAnna) of Queen Creek and Arizona; his grandchildren, Avery of Birmingham, Caden of Hyattville and Tessa of Queen Creek; and his sister Barbara Hastings of Minden. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Temple Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church for either Missions or the Dwight C. Anderson LA Tech Memorial Scholarship.
