Ruth Parks Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husbands, Wendell "O. W." Parks and Van Breedlove; her parents, Ethram Mann and Celia Simpson Dodd; her daughter Kathy Parks; her grandson Logan Stover; and her brothers, Clayton Dodd and Norman Dodd.
She is survived by: her daughters, Conni Parks, Sheryl Ramsey (Andy) and Rhonda Burdeaux (David); her niece Marilyn Tatum (Huey); and her grandchildren, Holli Hayes (Barry), Tyler Burdeaux (Lena Kate), Dylan Burdeaux (Chase), Kaci Freeman and Kade Freeman. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Crossroads Church of Christ (3575 LA-2, Farmerville, LA 71241). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 3:30 PM at the Rocky Branch Cemetery (Rocky Branch, LA).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Christian Relief Fund, P.O. Box 19670, Amarillo, TX 79114, in memory of Ruth, who faithfully supported for many years.
