He is survived by: his wife Mary Louise Hester; his children, Kristen, Ryan Cavin of Monroe, Tonya, Shaun Peavey of Cabot and Wendy Cavazos of Freeport; his grandchildren, Brandon, Jonya Hester of San Antonio, Justin, Marie Crappel of Beebe, Brittney Phoenix of Houston, Jessica, Austin Peek of Cabot, Jacob, Kathryn Smith of Lake City, Samantha Smith of Natchez, Mikey Moss of Monterey, Valerie, Daniel Dodd of Freeport and Dario Cavazos Jr. of San Diego, California.; Michelle and David Squyres. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Crossbridge Church (6716 US-84, Ferriday, LA 71334).
