She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvie Benjamin McClure and Iris Bond McClure; her husband Jack Taunton; her son Jackie Dale Taunton; and her brothers, Walter Frank and Harvie McClure (Bud).
She is survived by: her children, Ben Taunton (Connie) of Monterey and Connie Manning (Buddy) of Jonesville; her daughter-in-law Lana Taunton Carr (Shelby) of Jonesville; her grandchildren, Brandon Manning, Becky Akins (John), Sonni Davis (Dustin), Matthew Taunton (Jamie), Katie Smith (Jere), Logan Taunton (Christina) and Micah Taunton (Emma-Leigh); and her close friends, Maxine Lancaster, Irma Stevenson and Alethea Fisher. She is also survived by Gran by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Young's Funeral Home (609 EE Wallace Boulevard, Ferriday, LA 71334). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
