She was predeceased by: her daughter Macy Alexandra Loomis; her father Benton Blackmon, Sr.; her grandparents, James Cater, Aida Metcalfe, Hardie and Bennie Blackmon; her aunt Betty Evers; and her father-in-law George Loomis.
She is survived by: her husband Gregg Loomis; her children, Emma Claire Loomis, Lynn Loomis (Brittany) and Sarah Campbell (Taylor); her grandchildren, Carter, Jackson, Miller Loomis, Cate and Meryl Campbell; her mother Yvonne Blackmon; her mother-in-law Vickie Loomis; her siblings, Ben Blackmon (Kim) and Tanja Maroon (Matt); her sister-in-law Lisa Loomis; her nephew Aaron Maroon (Lauren); her great-niece Annie; her niece Logan Williams (Cade); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Hayes and Baylor; Kyle Blackmon.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to Melissa's heart or to the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Love Circle Ministry where she enjoyed serving the widows of our community.
