He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Albert, Alice Cowan, Leroy and Sally Book; and his father-in-law Jesse Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Mandy Davis Cowan of Ferriday, LA; his son Jon Michael Cowan of Ferriday, LA; his parents, Harvey Cowan and Ann Cowan of Ferriday, LA; his siblings, Janice Coleman of Ferriday, LA, Harvey Cowan Jr. (Shannon) of Monterey, LA and Jessica Prudhomme (Brent) of Bossier City, LA; and his niece Emmerlyn Davis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home - Ferriday (609 EE Wallace Boulevard, Ferriday, LA 71334). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family asks that donations be made to the NRA and Ducks Unlimited.
