With sadness, we share the passing of Janice Elaine Westfall Canady of Florien, Louisiana. Janice, born on March 14, 1936, passed away on October 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Westfall and Sylvie Westfall; and her siblings, Geneva Bell, Maurice Westfall, Charles Westfall and Dot Thaxton.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Canady of Florien, LA; her children, Kay Short (David) of Beaumont, TX and Gordon Canady (Bridget) of Lumberton, TX.; her grandchildren, Hayley Merrill of Porter, TX, Chad Merrill of Spring, TX, Jude Canady of Austin, TX and Carsyn Canady of Beaumont, TX; and her great grandchildren, Riley, Ella and Emmy Merrill. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home (355 Capitol St, Many, LA 71449). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church (5049 LA-118, Florien, LA 71429).
