Joseph Zammit Sr. Obituary
We announce the death of Joseph Zammit Sr. (Florien, Louisiana), who passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 94. Joseph will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Robert Zammit and Edna Katherine Zammit; his wife Mary Alice Hudson Zammit; his son Mark Keith; and his grandchildren, Ty Joseph Zammit and Kimberly Zammit Gautreau.
He is survived by: his children, Joey Zammit of Toledo Bend, Tim Zammit (Pam) of Lake Charles and Margaret Zammit (Don Gauthreaux) of Toledo Bend, Louisiana; and his grandchildren, JoAllison Rodriguez, Kori Schexnyder, Nicole Zammit, Megan Guillory, Keely Davidson and Rayne Skelton. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Terence Catholic Mission (44847 LA-191, Florien, LA 71429). A burial was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Zammit Family Cemetery (63 Emerald Dr, Many, LA 71449). A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 29th 2026 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Terence Catholic Mission (44847 LA-191, Florien, LA 71429).
