He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnson Monroe Sandel and Elsa Raye Sandel; his son Bret Sandel; his brothers, Tommy Sandel and Henry L Sandel; his sister-in-law Carolyn Sandel; and his grandson Jayce Alan.
He is survived by: his wife Mona Sandel of Florien, Louisiana; his children, Patrick Sandel (Christy) of Many, Louisiana and Kristy Knippers (Monty) of Florien, Louisiana; and his brother John Sandel (Connie) of Florien, Louisiana. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Florien Lions Club, 474 West Florien.
