He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Lucius and Nellie Lucius; his wife Evelyn Jeannette Lucius; his son Sidney Young Lucius Jr.; and his siblings, Dr. Dan Lucius Jr., Katherine Brumley and Claire Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Jason Lucius of Florien, Sam Lucius (Joyce) of Anacoco and Joan Trepanier (Wayne) of Olympia, Washington; and his grandchildren, Ethan Perkins of Texas City and Sidney Lucius III of Leesville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Florien (125 E Port Arthur Ave, Florien, LA 71429). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
