She is survived by: her children, Darren Dawson of Covington, LA, Mark Dawson of Tampa, FL, Charles Garrett Jr. (Michelle) of Dalton, GA and Tysha D. Clark (DeMario) of Folsom, LA; her sister Janell Garrett; her brother-in-law Sidney Garrett Jr. of Hammond, LA; her nephew Peter Varnado; her nieces, Brenda Price, Bridget Garrett, Angela Garrett and Nicey Callahan; her close friends, Joanne Batiste, Patricia Brumfield, Connie Penn and Francis Brumfield; Jaiven Garrett. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, one grand dog.
