He is survived by: his wife Gloria Gene Guidry Choate; his sons, James Choate (Arletta), Mark Choate and Robert Choate (Vanessa); and his grandchildren, Nicole, Mindy, Kevin and Jeremy. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
