He is survived by: his wife Fannie Goodrich Trufant; his mother-in-law Winnie Collins; his children, Junonna T. Alexis, Denna A. Trufant, Kimberlyn T. Gibson (James), Moneak P. Trufant, Edwin A. Trufant Jr. (Rosanna), Tyric G. Trufant, Rasheeda T. Scott (Jamal Sr.), Danielle M. Johnson, James Goodrich, Jr., Nastase Goodrich and Amarione Collins; his grandchildren, Aytrecia Alexis, Deryn D. Toulson, Joaquin Alexis, Brittani Rucker, LaShan Petit-Burke (Vincent), Edwin A. Trufant III, Megan Trufant-Tillman, Kylah Mickens, Maya Giles, Jamal Jr., Kylie and Levi Scott; his great grandchildren, Jaida, Jordan Marks, Jaci, Jersi Doucette, Cameryn, Blaze Boger, Kadyn Burke, Amaya, Anya, Aria and Alya Alexis; and his siblings-in-law, Norris Boyd, Andrew Collins, Isaac Collins, Viola Finley (Clarence) and Brenda Collins.
