She was predeceased by: her father Wilfred Verdun, Sr.; her grandmother Mentor; her husband Jessie Jones, Jr.; her mother Ruby Verdun, Sr.; her siblings, Roy Walker, Eleanor V. Vallet, Christine V. Green and Maxine V. Burden; and her cousins, Father Louis Charles Delarue and Sheila Verdun Green.

She is survived by: her sons, Byron K. Jones (Stephanie) of Berwick and Andre'A. Jones (Ledarius Richardson) of Franklin, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Liltasha Jones Steele (Demetrius) of Mobile and Quenton Jones (Jasmine) of Brooklyn; her siblings, Wilfred Verdun, Jr. of Baker Town, Delanor Verdun of Verdunville, Louisiana, Elodia V. Navy of Verdunville, Louisiana and Catherine Verdun of Verdunville, Louisiana; her nieces and nephews, Marlene Green Owens, Leslie Green and Leo Green, Jr.; her great-nieces, Stasha Comeaux and Johnise Bowie; and her great grandchildren, Genevieve Steele, Sylvanie Steele and Jolie Jones. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, family and friends.
